Paclitaxel drug eluting stent delivery system based on Calix coating, Nexus II+ stent and Senso catheter.

 

  • Paclitaxel prevents restenosis while facilitating proper healing. SMC growth is controlled without imiting the reendothelialisation process.
  • Paclitaxel inhibits SMC proliferation and migration, secretion of extra cellularmatrix and inflammation.
  • Paclitaxel elution and distribution is managed by natural forces thanks to the lipophilic and hydrophobic characteristics of the drug.
  • Paclitaxel coating is applied to the abluminal site of the stent using a proprietary coating technique; the result is a highly uniform layerwith an even distribution and excellent recovery (>95%).
 
 

  • The unique multi-layer of Calix and Paclitaxel combines the clinically proven anti-restenotic action of the drug with the excellent biocompatibility of the Calix coating,which remains after Paclitaxel has done its job.
